Worcester Error code guide

Error Code: F1 – Low Water Pressure
Cause: The water pressure is too low, usually due to a leak or lack of water in the system.
Solution: Check the pressure gauge on the boiler. If it's below 1 bar, use the filling loop to add water until it reaches the correct pressure (usually 1-1.5 bar). If pressure continues to drop, check for leaks and contact a professional.

Error Code: F3 – Overheating
Cause: The boiler has overheated, typically due to a blockage or low water flow.
Solution: Turn off the boiler and allow it to cool down. Check for blockages in the pipes, valves, or radiators. Bleed radiators to release air if needed. If overheating persists, contact an engineer.

Error Code: F4 – Flame Loss / Ignition Failure
Cause: The boiler has failed to ignite the flame, possibly due to a gas supply issue or faulty components.
Solution: Ensure the gas supply is turned on. If the problem continues, it may be due to a faulty ignition electrode or gas valve, requiring a professional to inspect and replace parts.

Error Code: F9 – Flame Detection Fault
Cause: The boiler is unable to detect the flame during operation.
Solution: This is often caused by a dirty flame sensor or an issue with the ignition system. Clean or replace the flame sensor. If you are unsure, contact a qualified engineer.

Error Code: EA – Gas Valve Fault
Cause: A fault with the gas valve, preventing proper gas flow to the burner.
Solution: Check the gas supply. If the valve is malfunctioning, it will need to be replaced by a qualified technician. For any persistent error codes or issues, always consult the Worcester boiler manual or contact a certified Worcester engineer to ensure a safe and proper repair.

Baxi Error code guide

Baxi error codes are diagnostic tools that help identify specific issues with your boiler.

Common error codes include E110 (Low Water Pressure), which indicates a pressure drop below the safe operating level, and can typically be resolved by re-pressurizing the system.

E133 (Ignition Failure) points to a problem with the ignition sequence, often due to a gas supply issue or faulty components like the electrode.

E28 (Flue Gas Safety Switch) signals a problem with the flue or ventilation, requiring immediate attention to ensure safety. For each error code, it’s important to consult the user manual for troubleshooting steps, but for complex issues, a qualified engineer should be called to ensure proper diagnosis and repair.
